Rowing Blazers released their Spring and Summer collection on Thursday, February 27. Featuring collaborations with brands Sperry Top Sider and Lands End, Rowing Blazers latest collection is a myriad of primary color pops and graphic tees that some have said has distinguished this collection as Rowing Blazers most "playful" yet. And, in Rowing Blazers' classic clubhouse spirit, they threw a party to celebrate.

Inviting New York City's skaters, singers, and up-and-coming influencers to their Spring/Summer 2020 launch party at their New York City Flagship in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, Rowing Blazers officially released their new line in stores.

The collection, inspired by Rowing Blazers founder Jack Carlson's own summertime memories. Including popular color-blocked pieces, vibrant rugbys, and graphic tees that remind Carlson of the summers he spent training on the U.S. rowing team in New England and working as a field archeologist in Italy, he said that this collection captures a time in his life that was truly "idyllic," Hypebeast reported.

Made in New York, Portugal, and China, Carlson confirmed that the company is still producing their products ethically and sustainably.

From this latest collection though, Carlson's favorite part is the new rugbys, but he said, "I also love the Adam and Eve Athletic Club Hoodie."

Serving Narragansett beer, SeaQuench Ale, and Rose in clear plastic party cups, the store opened its doors at 6 p.m., but it began to pick up at 7 p.m. People milled around the pool table featuring items from the new collection like the "Adam and Eve" crewnecks, White Willy graphic tees, and color-blocked "Spring Squall Sailing Jackets."

Fitness model and NYC Mixologist Macho Bruhier, 29, found out about the party through a friend and though he didn't buy anything Thursday night, he said he plans to soon.

"I love the new pieces for the Spring and Summer [Collection] as a handsome, dark-skinned gentleman like myself," Bruhier said.

"I enjoy a lot of clothing that has color and is very loud that I know I'll stand out in, in just the right ways."

He said Rowing Blazers often does just that for him.

Musician Kooroosh Leibowitz, 22, heard about the event online, but said he goes to basically every party Rowing Blazers has.

"Last night's event was fun. I ran into some old friends and some new ones," Leibowitz said.

"[It's] always a good time at the Rowing Blazers clubhouse."

The new line includes a variety of preppy pieces along with some streetwear staples, but Leibowitz said his favorite piece from new drop "would have to be" the Bishop Madras Suit.

"Madras anything is a wardrobe summer staple. The best part is you can choose between rocking it with the matching pants or shorts," Leibowitz said. "I'm a 'skies out, thighs out' kind of guy so you can guess how I'm styling it."

Prep's Not Dead Stylist Sarah Price, 26, has been following Rowing Blazers for the past few years. She said she usually tries to come to the events and this one was no exception.

"The new collection was super rad, I'm really excited for Jack! I love the designs he's playing with and the color blocking," Price said. Price isn't the only one loving the latest Rowing Blazers merch though.

Musician and Rowing Blazers' sales associate Marques Martin, 24, said that he can't give an exact number, but the event did produce "a lot" of sales.

Though the Spring and Summer 2020 Collection continues to marry prep and street aesthetics, Martin shared that the collection wasn't born overnight.

"I've been seeing the teamwork on producing these pieces for a while so it's inspiring to see the Rowing Blazers team drop new products and have such a huge turnout," Martin said.

"That kinda support doesn't come from releasing mediocre pieces."

Known for filling the metaphorical gaps in their customers' closets, Rowing Blazers continues to produce classic pieces with a hip twist and their Spring and Summer 2020 Collection is no different.
