Vans is announcing its third collaborative collection of footwear, apparel, and accessories with musician and pop star Anderson .Paak. He is an eight-time, Grammy-award-winning artist, and is Vans’ inaugural global music ambassador who’s bringing a classic vibe to a classic brand. The Vans x Anderson .Paak Vanderson Collection boasts its timeless styles and colorways of the Authentic, Era, Slip-On, Sk8 Hi, and Old Skool, which are included in the recent “Vanderson” collection, with exclusive items co-designed by .Paak.
The “Off The Wall” brand has played a pivotal role in the retro-infused swagger of the funk-inspired musician. At the young age of 14, .Paak would embark on his musical journey all the way to Hollywood, from Oxnard, Ca. to precision school. He went on to get a job at a local Vans retail store in Los Angeles’ Canoga Park neighborhood, getting an early taste of a style that would transcend generations. Now .Paak has been hands-on with the design elements of his Vans collaboration, solidifying his place in the “Off The Wall” family.
“Vans was super patient with me on this one,” .Paak details his collaborative effort in designing his capsule. “We met every week in Malibu and designed these shoes in the California sunshine. This is my best drop yet and I’m so proud of what we’ve come up with!”
Anderson .Paak has established himself as a musical powerhouse and as a style beacon, pulling off the most authentic retro looks, and sounds, and even carrying a persona that embodies the 'two-step' of the “flower-power” era. The Vans x Anderson .Paak exclusive Vanderson “Epaak” capsule includes Vans footwear and apparel in paisley patterns, tye-dye, and earth tones that reflect his creative expression.
The footwear includes adults, kids, and toddler sizing for the whole family, with the Epaak Sport, which mixes the Vans “Off The Wall” classic style with a subtle print design. Black paisley is layered over black suede, double-stitching for durability, and a ‘drop-in’ sock-liner adds to the all-day comfort and sleek design of the Epaak Sport. The Authentic Vans shoe style captures the paisley print in a sand colorway, while the Old Skool 36 DX shoe style comes in a muted green tone.
The Vanderson Epaak also includes a tie-dye short-sleeve tee in bleached sand tones, with the Vanderson retro-style artwork screen printed on the chest. A caper-colored straight-leg pant features tonal paisley jacquard with a flare leg. The Vanderson jacket has the same tone with a button pocket on the front chest. Rounding out the Epaak, sand-colored socks with an all-over paisley design, a reversible bucket hat in corduroy, and the lush-designed Vanderson Robe completes the aesthetic .Paak and the Vans team want to share with his fans and community…
