Harry's Style: The Love On Tour Sneaker Data Tracking Harry Styles' Footwear Experience

Harry Styles’ ‘Love on Tour’ ended on Saturday (July 22nd) after two years, concluding with a final show in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The Adidas Gazelle sneakers have dominated his tour outfits and caused a consequent ruckus among fans, from online sneaker marketplace Laced.
Harry has become renowned for his love for the Adidas x Gucci Gazelle since he was first spotted wearing them in ‘As It Was’ promo shoots in April 2022, ahead of the shoe’s release. Fans quickly dubbed the sneakers 'Satellite Stompers’, in reference to a dance he performs during his song ‘Satellite’. Harry has only been wearing these shoes on tour for a year, but the #SatelliteStompers hashtag has amassed 19M TikTok views of clips of fans unboxing and wearing Adidas Gazelles.

Harry acknowledged this trend himself in lovingly naming the robot in his ‘Satellite’ music video ‘Stomper’ after the fan-made nickname for the shoes. His waxwork in Madame Tussaud’s Singapore, unveiled just last week, is also wearing the Adidas x Gucci Yellow Velvet Gazelles, replicating an outfit worn by Styles in Glasgow in June 2022 - the first of many Love on Tour shows where he sported the shoe.
Laced, the online marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of the most in-demand and exclusive sneakers, assessed Harry’s footwear from all 169 Love on Tour shows (September 4th 2021- July 22nd 2023) and found the following:

Harry wears seven different pairs of Adidas x Gucci Gazelles on rotation depending on his outfit: Yellow, pink, purple, blue, green, red and burgundy. Additionally on Saturday, for the final show of the tour, he and the entire band wore personalized black Gazelles
Harry wore Adidas x Gucci Gazelles for 125 out of 169 Love on Tour Shows - 74% of the entire tour, and has worn them for 98% of the shows he has performed since the Gucci Gazelles were released
He’s only opted for other shoes for two shows since June 2022; black trainers when dressed as ‘Danny Zuko’ for ‘Harryween’, and red Vans on night two of his LA residency (24th October 2022)
Harry’s favourites are the Adidas x Gucci Red Velvet Gazelles, which he has worn on stage during 24% (30 Love on Tour shows in total) of ‘gazelle’ shows, closely followed by Adidas x Gucci Green Velvet Gazelles which have been worn during 23% (29 Love on Tour shows in total) of ‘gazelle’ shows
Although fans may find purchasing the Gucci version of Gazelles slightly less accessible, the Laced platform has seen a 100% increase in Adidas Gazelles sales and a 2,638% increase in sales of the similar Adidas Samba sneakers in comparison to the same period last year; the platform went from not selling a single pair of either shoe during the first seven months of 2022, to selling hundreds during the same period in 2023.
