KENZO x Futura 2000: A Fusion of Street Art and High Fashion
By PAGE Editor
The KENZO x Futura 2000 collaboration, first revealed during the KENZO Fall/Winter 2025 Men’s show, has now fully materialized into an exclusive collection that merges street culture with high fashion. Bringing together KENZO’s iconic design language and Futura’s graffiti-driven aesthetic, the collection marks an early debut for the FW25 season. Futura 2000, a legendary artist known for his pioneering work in urban art, reinterprets two of KENZO’s most recognizable signatures—the Boke Flower and the KENZO Paris logo—infusing them with his signature raw, dynamic style. The result is a bold clash of tradition and rebellion, where floral motifs take on a new edge and logos are transformed through a graffiti-inspired lens.
The collaboration is a reunion of creative forces, celebrating the 25-year friendship between Futura and KENZO’s Artistic Director, Nigo. Reflecting on the partnership, Futura shared his excitement about revisiting their creative synergy, noting Nigo’s meticulous attention to detail and visionary approach. The collection features a standout allover print that blends Futura’s iconic Atom motif with KENZO’s reimagined Boke Flower, creating a vibrant, kinetic design that embodies energy and movement. From graphic jerseys and elevated knitwear to windbreakers and coach jackets, the lineup offers a complete wardrobe infused with statement visuals and hybrid appeal.
Shot by Japanese photographer Jiro Konami in Futura’s New York atelier, the campaign captures the collection’s bold aesthetic in an intimate, artistic setting. The KENZO x Futura 2000 collection will be available through an exclusive digital pre-launch on July 3rd, followed by a full release on July 7th at KENZO stores, KENZO.com, and select global partners. More than just a fashion drop, this collaboration stands as a cultural milestone, uniting two legends in a celebration of art, history, and innovation.
