Leading fashion development and production house The Evans Group (TEG) announces the opening of their new 4,000 square foot Headquarters in the heart of the Arts District in downtown Los Angeles.

The new and improved facility boosts advanced machinery and technology in a high-end setting, allowing for eight times greater output and transforming the company into a comprehensive domestic design firm with tailored approaches to address the needs of both first-time creators and established designers alike.

Among a number of new advancements, the LA Headquarters now presents a state-of-the-art conference room and telecommunication center, a strategic investment during an indefinite shift to remote working and social distancing.

New communication technology tools include project management software with individual client boards for real-time updates, along with online self-scheduling for fittings or meetings with any member of the TEG team, allowing for designers not based in the greater Los Angeles area to work with TEG in a seamless manner.

As The Evans Group celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, Founder and CEO Jennifer Evans remarks on the rapid evolution and the current fragility of the fashion industry.

“ We believe creativity never dies, and artists are always optimistic and excited to create, even more so during times of social unrest. This is when creativity is awakened in many. We had a record-high number of inquiries and consultation calls while closed during shelter-in-place. This speaks volumes about the accessibility to the fashion industry TEG has created in fostering independent design since 2005.”

“Domestic fashion manufacturing is an important sector for the industry because it employs a diverse group of skilled individuals who create a critical support system for the design community,”

said Cal McNeil, Program Manager at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), who oversees the organization’s manufacturing and supply chain programs.

“Agile and localized supply chains have never been more important for fashion. A strong relationship between a brand and local manufacturer drives the industry towards more sustainable practices, uplifts local communities and the workforce within them, and helps to contribute economic impact.”

The fashion house has also expanded its offering to include global fabric sourcing by seasoned experts, along with a range of design services by in-house designers, including mood boards, trend research, color palette selection, fashion illustration, flat drawings, custom prints, logos, and hangtag design. With over one hundred inquiries a week from new and emerging designers, these additional services, along with no minimum quantity orders, cater to a quickly-growing demand by creatives interested in entering the fashion space for the first time.

The Evans Group (TEG) employs 20 people full-time, 75% of whom identify as women, and 70% identify as people of color, with room for growth. The facility is located at 1926 East 7th Street, Suite B, Los Angeles, CA 90021.

They are currently in full operation and working in compliance with COVID-19 protocols. TEG has confirmed that they will continue to adapt to any mandated closures with remote work as needed. The fashion house is currently offering a free one-hour consultation with the purchase of any development package, including business strategy, marketing and sales, design and sourcing, and production.
