British singer-songwriter Sekou has partnered with Pinterest to unveil a striking live performance of his latest single, “Love Language,” as part of the platform’s highly anticipated Pinterest Predicts™ 2026 trend report. The collaboration transforms data-driven cultural insight into a sensory experience—where music, style, and personal storytelling intersect.

At the heart of the performance is Brooched, one of Pinterest Predicts’ standout menswear trends for 2026. The trend signals a return to ornamentation, with Boomer and Millennial men punctuating their looks with vintage pins, crystal clip-ons, and heirloom brooches. Equal parts homage and reinvention, Brooched reframes classic adornment as a modern expression of identity and memory.

Directed by Relta, the live performance video captures Sekou in a moody, intimate setting at Chestnut Indoor Bowls Club in London. The location’s worn-in textures and understated atmosphere heighten the emotional tone of the song, while surrounding monitors spotlight close-ups of brooches and styling details woven into Sekou’s look. The result is a performance that feels both cinematic and deeply personal, pulling viewers into Sekou’s emotional world while underscoring the power of detail-driven self-expression.

“Pinterest Predicts™ shines a light on the shifts shaping how people express themselves, and Brooched captures a powerful return to personal storytelling through style,” said Louise Foley, Pinterest Director of Marketing, Europe. “Partnering with Sekou lets us bring this trend to life in a completely new way—through his voice, his vision and his incredible artistry. His performance embodies the reinvention at the heart of Brooched; a celebration of individuality, heritage and the freedom to show who you are on your own terms.”

For Sekou, the collaboration felt instinctive. “Brooched immediately spoke to me because it is all about storytelling through the small details—the pieces you wear, the memories you carry,” he shared. “‘Love Language’ is such a personal song, and pairing it with this trend let me explore style, emotion and identity in a whole new way.”

“Love Language” appears on Sekou’s debut mixtape, In a World We Don’t Belong, Pt.1, released in November, a project that further cements his reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling new voices. Since emerging in 2023, the Leicester-born artist has experienced a rapid rise—signing with Island Records and NWS, becoming the youngest-ever BRIT Rising Star nominee, earning a shortlist spot for BBC Sound of 2024, performing at Glastonbury, and making appearances alongside artists including Central Cee, Kevin Abstract, and Justin Bieber.

Now in its sixth year, Pinterest Predicts™ has become one of fashion and culture’s most closely watched annual reports, forecasting trends across style, lifestyle, design, and consumer behavior. The 2026 edition identifies 21 emerging trends shaped by nonconformity, self-preservation, and escapism—reflecting a broader cultural shift toward authenticity, comfort, and optimism amid ongoing global noise.

The Pinterest Predicts™ x Sekou collaboration exemplifies how these cultural signals can move beyond the page, inspiring new forms of creative expression. By translating trend insight into music and visual storytelling, the project invites audiences to embrace a more personal, expressive way of showing who they are—one carefully chosen detail at a time.
