On the evening of October 4, 2025, the city of Paris served as the elegant backdrop for a significant cultural convergence. JOOPITER, the visionary digital platform founded by Pharrell Williams, hosted a celebratory event for the launch of its latest auction, ELVIS: The EPiC Vision of Baz Luhrmann. The event was presented in collaboration with the Academy Award-nominated writer, director, and producer Baz Luhrmann himself, marking a prestigious partnership between two of the most creative forces in contemporary art and entertainment.
The Hôtel Particulier was filled with a distinguished gathering of friends and luminaries, all there to celebrate the occasion. Pharrell Williams and Baz Luhrmann were joined by a notable list of guests including Anna Wintour, Colman Domingo, Jaden Smith, Joy Sunday, Joel Edgerton and Christine Centenera, Lukita Maxwell, Tamu McPherson, Olivia Wilde, Sarah and Philip Andelman, Joshua Hong, Christian Louboutin, Annie Moon, Bright, Tina Leung, Peter Dundas, Marchioness Emma Thynn, Han Chong, Tomohisa Yamashita, and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The atmosphere was energized with sounds provided by Pedro Winter, while the champagne flowed courtesy of the official event sponsor, Moët & Chandon.
Throughout the venue, guests were able to view select lots from the highly anticipated auction, which is open for global bidding on JOOPITER.com through October 15. Among the displayed items was a truly spectacular piece: the bespoke Mouawad One-of-a-Kind Elvis Belt from Luhrmann’s 2022 epic film, Elvis. This remarkable accessory features a black leather strap and a solid gold buckle lavishly set with 10.48 carats of black and white diamonds and 5.09 carats of pink sapphires, embodying the opulence and style of its subject.
The auction itself, ELVIS: The EPiC Vision of Baz Luhrmann, represents a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts. It opens the director's personal archive to offer rare artifacts from his 2022 film, allowing both film aficionados and fans of "The King" the extraordinary chance to own one-of-a-kind pieces of entertainment history. Beyond physical objects, the sale also features once-in-a-lifetime experiences with Baz Luhrmann, granting the winners a unique glimpse into his creative world and a chance to share in his visionary process.
To further commemorate the auction, JOOPITER and Baz Luhrmann have collaborated on a limited-edition merchandise capsule, available for pre-order for a limited time at JOOPITER.com. The mini-collection includes an oversized hoodie and two T-shirts, each emblazoned with iconic photographs of Elvis Presley. Accompanying the apparel is a vintage-effect hat featuring the EPiC: Elvis Presley Live in Concert logo, offering fans a tangible piece of the celebration.
