Oxblood Zebra and Gola Step Boldly Into SS26 at New York Men’s Day

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, menswear brand Oxblood Zebra, helmed by designer Reuben Shaw, unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection during New York Men’s Day, presented by PROJECT and COTERIE. The presentation marked a bold collaboration with British footwear label Gola, whose iconic sneakers grounded Shaw’s rule-breaking vision.
Titled “Off-Script: The Rule Breakers’ Uniform,” the SS26 collection redefined contemporary menswear through contradiction and defiance. Shaw’s garments balanced tailoring with rebellion—polished silhouettes infused with unapologetic edge. “This collection is for those who dare to step outside the margins,” Shaw said in his notes. “The uniform is not conformity—it’s self-expression with structure, rebellion with rhythm.”
Gola’s heritage sneakers seamlessly aligned with this ethos. The Torpedo and Badminton Plimsoll styles punctuated the collection, offering a nod to British sporting history while embodying the irreverence of modern street culture. Available now, the Torpedo retails for $120 (link), while the Badminton Plimsoll retails for $85 (link).
For Gola, founded in 1905 in Leicestershire, England, the collaboration underscores its ongoing influence in fashion and sport. Once a cornerstone of British athletic culture, the brand continues to evolve through partnerships that bring its classic silhouettes into contemporary contexts.
Oxblood Zebra’s SS26 presentation—anchored by Gola footwear—stood as a visual manifesto for the “multidimensional man,” where rebellion and refinement coexist. Together, the brands offered a glimpse of menswear’s next frontier: style that refuses to follow the blueprint.
