The Garment Collection AW26: Copenhagen Fashion Week

For Autumn/Winter 2026, The Garment presents a collection shaped by quiet dialogues—between women and art, architecture and intimacy, structure and softness. Rooted in Copenhagen’s mid-century modernism, AW26 draws inspiration from Danish architect Eva Koppel and the restrained elegance of the Langelinie Pavilion, where light, proportion, and purpose exist in deliberate harmony.

This season imagines the woman as a curator and collector. She moves fluidly through architectural homes and intimate galleries, hosting a galla, stepping into meetings, and later retreating to a sofa lounge in a sheer shirt draped effortlessly over the body, a book resting in hand, fresh flowers placed thoughtfully at her desk. Each moment is lived with intention, layered rather than rushed.

The collection reflects this rhythm through material and form. Echoes of meetings in Macau emerge in the fluid elegance of a traditional silk dress, reinterpreted through a distinctly Northern restraint. Multi-layered sheers soften silhouettes, allowing lightness to coexist with precision. Merino and double-faced wool introduce warmth and clarity, while strong Portuguese herringbone grounds the collection with architectural confidence—balancing delicacy with structure.

The palette is measured and purposeful. Navy and black form the foundation, anchoring the wardrobe in timelessness. Ivory and toast introduce quiet luminosity, while merlot and espresso add depth, intimacy, and emotional weight. Throughout, silk moves against wool, transparency meets solidity, and garments become extensions of the spaces women inhabit.

AW26 is not designed to shout, but to endure. It is a wardrobe for women who move through rooms with awareness, who understand that presence is often felt most strongly in restraint.

The Garment AW26 Footwear Launch

Autumn/Winter 2026 also marks a significant expansion of The Garment universe with the launch of its first footwear collection. A focused edit of eight styles translates the brand’s quiet confidence and modern femininity into shoes that prioritize both form and feeling.

The collection introduces a sculptural wide boot in croco-embossed calfskin alongside a refined pump, each grounded by elegant kitten heels. A super-soft padded loafer in supple lambskin offers everyday ease, while printed calf-hair ballerinas and a black shearling ballerina add texture, warmth, and contrast. Together, the styles balance polish with comfort, structure with softness.

Each pair is crafted in the south of Spain at a family-owned factory surrounded by almond trees, where generations of shoemaking knowledge guide every step of production. From cutting to finishing, approximately 40 pairs of hands touch each shoe—a reminder that craft here is not a slogan, but a lived practice shaped by patience, history, and respect for handwork.

This footwear chapter reflects The Garment’s ongoing commitment to considered design and responsible production. These are pieces made slowly, with intention, designed to be worn for years rather than seasons.

AW26 is not simply worn—it is curated. A collection shaped by art, architecture, and the quiet power of presence.
