Role Overview

We are seeking an Editor to lead PAGE New York in print and online. The Editor is responsible for ensuring all content across our digital, print and social platforms meets the aims of PAGE’s wider content strategy. This role ensures that the right content is prioritized for production, that it’s presented in the right way and that it is of a quality worthy of PAGE. The position will involve launching PAGE New York in print and rapidly growing the publication’s online audience. 



This person is responsible for making sure that PAGE New York meets their planned goals and targets and are also responsible for helping to increase awareness of the PAGE brand, both in the real world and in print and online. The successful candidate will be an organized self-starter, and will report into the Head of Content for North America.



Key Responsibilities

·            Lead and produce content across all platforms that covers the biggest events, inspires readers to try new things and creates a cultural buzz in New York.

·            Work with the national team to build email and social strategies to reach a wider audience in New York and share PAGE content.

·            Work with the head of content, and global content team to maintain global editorial calendar, share best practices, optimize content for SEO and collaborate on global content projects.

·            Work with creative team, editorial team and print production team to produce PAGE New York magazine, a bi-weekly publication. 

·            As needed, develop offers/branded content; support the commercial success of PAGE’s offers business.

·            Build and manage a team of freelancers to help in the content creation process across a wide range of topics, including restaurants and bars, arts and culture, theater, etc. and edit this content for print and digital use.

·            Ensure content is delivered on time, to brief, within budget and to the standards laid out by PAGE style guides.

·            Be responsible for overall journalistic integrity, including ensuring that all relevant copyrights have been cleared and that content meets legal guidelines.

·            Create content that meets individual and team goals (e.g., engagement, traffic, conversion, time on page, etc.).

·            Work with the marketing and commercial teams to devise partnerships and events that increase awareness of the PAGE brand in New York.

·            Maintain and develop strong remote and external working relationships across the Reverie: PAGE while being remotely and externally recognized as an ambassador for PAGE values.

·            Make recommendations for enhancements to PAGE products where relevant to content and test and approve new products and CMS enhancements.

·            Be an authority on the PAGE brand and competitors.

·            Regularly post content, which may include sponsored or offers content, to social media. 

·            Work with video team to create successful video content relevant to your area of expertise.

·            When required, serve as a spokesperson/quotable expert.

·            Embrace PAGE’s digital-first, mobile-first philosophy. A strong background in digital production is absolutely essential.

·            Act as an effective brand ambassador for Reverie: PAGE and an evangelist for our brand in the market.

·            Meet individual monthly content volume targets as agreed with your manager (e.g., new posts, updated posts, new listings, updated listings, etc.).

·            Liaise with the PAGE team on editorial and entertainment projects for the markets.

·            Experience writing tight briefs for external contributors. 

·            The ability to write copy in line with highest editorial standards.

·            The ability to self-supervise in order to meet deadlines. 

·            Ability to work in and contribute to a fun and dynamic team-based environment. 

·            Fluent English.

·            Must be educated to degree level or equivalent industry qualification.
