Headquartered in Boston and independent since 1906, New Balance has long used its domestic manufacturing footprint as a differentiator. With five athletic footwear factories in New England and one in Flimby, U.K., the brand reports that its MADE U.S. footwear contains a domestic value of 70% or more—an increasingly rare benchmark in performance sportswear. For Spring/Summer 2026, that thesis unfolds across six drops, each calibrated around landscape-inspired color stories and heritage sport silhouettes that have become pillars of the brand’s identity.
A Familiar Foundation, Recolored
The collection centers on archival icons: the 990v4, 992, 993, and 1300. Rather than reinventing these models, New Balance refines them—deploying rich suedes, premium leathers, and breathable meshes across tonal palettes that echo seasonal shifts in light and terrain.
Drop One opens with the 990v4 and 992 in olive-driven hues—Olive Leaf, Light Olive, Olivine—grounded by neutral accents like Permafrost and Incense. It’s a controlled start: earthy, transitional, wearable. Apparel mirrors that restraint with black and grey staples—crewnecks, hoodies, and sweatpants that function as uniform rather than trend.
