Henrik Vibskov is a renowned Danish fashion designer, artist, curator, and musician, living and working in an interdisciplinary fashion for the past two decades. Throughout his career, Vibskov has worked in a range of mediums, from traditional fashion silhouettes to comical yet complex installations in fabrics, and even covered film, live performance, and music.

His effervescence for art has led the fashion designer to take on the role of an author with a new three-book collector set called Henrik Vibskov 1-3. These collections of work consist of the trials and tribulations of Vibskov’s journey through the junction of fashion and art. They detail his interdisciplinary developments, workflow, work in progress, and substantial contribution to the Danish design scene for more than 20 years now.

Of the three books, book 1 is the 2012 edition that categorizes his art up until then. This includes a re-edit and re-design of the layout and text. Book 2 and book 3 further explore Vibskov’s artistry and disciplines.

His design studios, catwalks, exhibitions, and performances are all archived by Vibskov through sketches, drawing, mood boards, and photographic material. Vibskov takes readers on a colorful journey, traveling along with his thought processes and strategies to his creations. He expresses himself by defining anecdotes and stories in commentary about the different works.

Vibskov finds inspiration in his unintended mistakes, making purposeful art, and reflecting on everyday lives. He has spoken about creating a book in the years prior, stating, “In the past years, I have been talking quite a lot about doing a new book. The last book was eight years ago. In these eight years, my studio was super busy, a new project was coming in, and we were working at a high pace. The projects kept on stealing focus from the book, but the thought of it kept on popping up.”
