“It’s All Been Leading to This”: Gymshark’s American Moment Arrives on Bond Street

On Saturday, December 13, Gymshark will open the doors to its first-ever U.S. flagship store at 11 Bond Street, marking a milestone moment not just for the brand, but for its North American community. Spanning 13,000 square feet across three floors, the New York flagship is the clearest signal yet that Gymshark’s American journey—years in the making—has reached its defining chapter.
“This is it,” says Gymshark’s Mitch Healey, Director of Global Retail. “We’ve done a lot of cool stuff in New York, but I’ll be honest, it’s all been leading to this. I cannot wait.”
More than a retail space, the Bond Street flagship reads as a love letter to New York City itself. From the moment you step inside, the design language reflects the city’s unmistakable rhythm and sense of belonging. Liberty Green sets the tone throughout, while subtle nods to the Financial District appear via live tickers streaming news, updates, and offers in real time. Cash registers are reimagined as subway cars, exclusive merchandise is housed in bespoke bodegas, and mannequins take the form of 3D-printed likenesses of real Gymshark community members alongside iconic athletes, including Chris Bumstead and Bronx native Analis Cruz.
Then there are the details that feel distinctly, unapologetically New York—like the custom “pizza weight plate,” a playful yet reverent symbol of the city’s cultural shorthand meeting Gymshark’s gym-first DNA.
While the flagship offers the latest staples—from Vital leggings to Power tees—it’s designed to function far beyond transactional retail. Gymshark’s bespoke 1-2-1 shopping service allows aspiring lifters and seasoned athletes alike to get personalized guidance, ensuring the right fit, function, and performance. Upstairs, the third floor transforms into a dedicated community hub, built for connection and conversation. Panel talks, athlete meet-and-greets, live podcasts, and Q&A sessions will turn the space into a living extension of Gymshark’s global fitness community.
“In the entirety of Gymshark’s existence, two things have remained constant—the gym, naturally, and community,” says Mitch Healey, Retail and Wholesale Director North America. “I don’t think any city in the world places as much importance on community quite like New York. When you walk through the door, we wanted you to immediately know you’re in a Gymshark store—and feel the community vibe this city is so famous for.”
The flagship is the culmination of an 18-month surge in Gymshark’s New York presence. From opening its U.S. headquarters on Greene Street in June 2024, to hosting Lift:NY—its largest event ever—drawing more than 7,500 members of the fitness community to Pier 36, to launching its first permanent store at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, the brand has steadily deepened its roots. Bond Street is the boldest expression yet.
With 11 Bond Street, Gymshark isn’t just opening a store—it’s cementing its place in the American fitness and cultural landscape. In a city defined by momentum, ambition, and community, Gymshark’s U.S. flagship feels less like an arrival and more like a statement: this is home, and it’s only the beginning.
